College Quarterly

Home Introduction

The College Quarterly (CQ) is an independent, internet-based journal of research and discussion published by Seneca College. It is directed primarily to college educators, and others interested in post secondary education relevant to the Canadian college context.

The CQ fills an urgent need and a continuing gap as there currently exists no other academic journal that addresses issues specific to the Canadian colleges. The journal publishes both peer reviewed and editor only reviewed articles; peer reviewed articles are clearly identified as such.

The CQ addresses the following:

    • technology enhanced learning
    • case studies

  2. Applied Research

    • applied research – examples, findings, announcements of calls for proposals, links to resources and funding sources

  3. Governance issues
    • issues related to administration and governance of the colleges
    • legislative and political issues
e.g., New Charter for Ontario CAATs
    • announcements, news

  4. Reviews
    • book reviews and notes

  5. The colleges and the community
    • relationships between colleges & universities
    • relationships with the private sector, business and industry and non-government organizations
